CHAPTER 3: BASIC EDITING ■
General General settings (see Figure 3.21) include the default start times for digital cut,
the naming conventions for files, and the default directory for storing project files.

Import Like the Export settings, Import settings (see Figure 3.22) determine default
settings for input. These file types include image, OMFI (Avid Media Files) Shot Logs,
and Audio Files.

Keyboard Keyboard settings (see Figure 3.23) work differently on Free DV and
Xpress Pro. On Free DV, these settings show you the keyboard configuration as it is.
With Xpress Pro, it allows you to reconfigure the buttons on the keyboard.
